The Deep SplitThe Subject I used is called a Nack-Nack, a posiable toy.
I decided that since i'm only an beginner, its best to work with subjects that you could easily control.
In this picture, I wanted to achieve depth and make the subject much more solid.
Therefore I use only one light source and place it on the front right of the subject.
It gave a solid shadow which boldly outline my subject as well as giving details of the subject's front.

Directing High-Light
This second lighting picture I took, I decided to play with more lights.
I pointed the lights on the top left and right of the subject.
This gave the subject a heavier look as the shadow is formed directly below.
Now the subject looks much more serious, just like a Traffic-Police directing traffic.
I used the 1/3 rule as it's most comfortable to my style.

The Tiger
This is the decisive moment of the 'Silat' fight, the beginning.
Being able to show off your move and get into the right position just before the attack.
A mental game for both opponent.
Giving the opportunity to phyce yourself as well as inflicting fear into your opponents.
This picture was taken during the recent
Invitational Silat Championship 2008 held at Republic Poly.
The fighter below is from Singapore Poly fighting for Gold.
We fought well, only achieving Silver.
10.37:53 AM
This was taken just after we had our breakfast.
While awaiting for our next class,
my classmate whip out his PSP (Playstation Portable)
to start a small gaming session with my other classmates.
Everyone had so much fun till we were late for class.
It became a decisive moment as everyone was still glued to the game as we were already
7 minutes late...
A Clue
It was our usual outing with my friends, we decided to head to the CBD area.
As everyone was armed with their digital camera.
We took shots of the journey there.
This shot, reveled a graffity on the along the wall.
One of the most candid shots which turned out perfect.
Hi Kitty
This shot was taken at the common Kopi-tiam under void decks.
As i my food was server, this stray cat appered.
I started snapping shot of the cat up close.
Till the kid came pass my table and started to wave and said "Hi Kitty".
The cat walked away as my friend came back to the table.
Strange but it gave a unique picture.
